Following a successful campaign at Product Hunt, we rolled out some major updates to improve user experience and incorporate user feedback.
Here is what we have achieved this month!
Custom Resolutions
We launched custom resolutions on our platform in a bid to give more control to our users.
Users now can manually set screen resolution up to 2160p through the dock, and experience better control over the quality and performance of the video.
We recommend users use the default dynamic resolution adaptation.
For users who wish to choose their resolution we recommend the following internet speeds for an optimal experience:
- 50mbps and above for 1440 (2K) & 2160p (4k);
- 24mbps for 1080p; and
- 12mbps for 720p (HD).
All resolutions operate at 60 frames per second by default. When a higher resolution is chosen on a slow internet connection the bitrate adjusts accordingly to deliver optimal performance.
Improved Keyboard Layout
This month we added the new keyboard layout through an update.
Previously, users were unable to select a preferred keyboard layout, hindering the experience for users who were comfortable with different language keyboards.
We resolved this for our users by adding support for keyboards in multiple languages through the Neverinstall dock. Users can simply click the keyboard icon on the dock (next to the “Data Saver mode” toggle), select their preferred language, and get a native-like experience.
Users can now choose from more than 50 languages which include:
- English(US), English(UK), Afghani, Albanian, Arabic, Braille, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English(Australian), English(SouthAfrica), Estonian, Filipino, Finnish, French, French(Canada), French(Guinea), French(Togo), Georgian, German, German(Austria), German(Switzerland), Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indian, Indonesian(Jawi), Iraqi, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Japanese(PC-98xxSeries), Korean, Lao, Malay(Jawi), Mongolian, Nepali, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese(Brazil), Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Spanish(Latin American), Swedish, Taiwanese, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu(Pakistan), Uzbek, and Vietnamese.
