The primary concern
Data breaches deal trillions of dollars worth of damage to enterprises and consumers worldwide, each year. The threat landscape has evolved, and data is one of the most critical aspects of our lives today makes it especially vulnerable. However, when it comes to protecting personal data, consumers do not just want to steer clear of threat actors, sometimes, especially with the growing privacy awareness, it is large organizations as well.
The power of data
The sheer amount of data being collected on consumers daily is incomprehensible to the human mind. However, for people with access to the skills and tools to interpret such data, this personally identifiable information (PII) can be very valuable and likely to be abused. Online fraud, phishing attacks, and identity theft are all products of data breaches and unauthorized access to personal information.
The need to worry
When personal information is stolen, it can be used for a variety of purposes that can be detrimental to the financial as well as social or political well-being of individuals.
A key factor when considering data privacy is confidentiality. The loss of confidentiality can cause organizations or individuals to lose opportunities, end fiduciary relationships with associates and partners, and even face litigation.
Staying protected with Neverinstall
At Neverinstall we respect the privacy of our users and have developed stringent protocols to ensure that your personal information is never used for activities outside the platform without your consent. Here is more about how we make sure that our user's data is never misused.
Neverinstall is compliant with the most developed and widely accepted data security and privacy compliances from around the world. From the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework developed and maintained by the U.S. Department of Commerce to the California Consumer Privacy Act, we follow the strictest guidelines when collecting, using, and retaining the personal information of our users.
Read more about our compliances here.
On Neverinstall, we have pre-installed and pre-configured applications to be secure by default. To ensure that all user data is protected when an application in launched, we have taken the following measures:
- We are official partners with Microsoft Azure and all our servers are SOC compliant.
- When users launch an app on the platform, all connections to the application stream are TLS encrypted.
- Our platform keeps all user information including, inter alia, credentials, files, and contact information protected with AES-256 encryption for maximum security.
Security as a continuous exercise
At Neverinstall, we strive to leverage cutting-edge security protocols and the latest data protection measures to remain up to date with the evolving threat landscape. To achieve this, we biannually (at the least) engage independent entities to conduct penetration tests across the platform. These tests are meant to check the integrity of our applications, infrastructure, and network to identify potential vulnerabilities.
The results of these tests are shared with the management and identified vulnerabilities (if any) are remediated on priority.
Neverinstall uses the strongest encryption and security protocols to protect user data. Since we are a cloud-based solution, user data is transmitted over public networks, however, the platform is built in a way that Neverinstall does not have any access to data entered within applications launched on the platform, therefore, keeping consumer data completely confidential.
We support a wide variety of authentication protocols, we use Google's firebase which supports multiple login providers - Gmail, Github, Apple, etc. Further, we use industry best practices to authenticate users.
On the Neverinstall platform, the transmission of user data over the Internet is only possible when such data is encrypted.
How we handle your data
At Neverinstall, we use consumer data only to improve the access and functionality of the platform with strict protocols to ensure that no user information is recorded without express consent. Here is how we use the information given to Neverinstall:
- to register user accounts and to use the Hosted Service (Neverinstall Control) or Neverinstall Client Application;
- to accept applications for becoming a partner or customer;
- to facilitate the provision of software updates on the platform;
- to resolve support queries and offer customer service; and
- to deliver service messages and other services and content users may request; and
- to send information related to user accounts and services such as confirmations, invoices, notices, updates and alerts, and administrative messages.
